How to Opt Out of Nuwber

Nuwber is a people search website that aggregates and publishes personal information sourced from public records, social media platforms, and commercial databases. Your Nuwber profile could be exposing sensitive details about you to anyone who searches your name. Here is how to remove your information and protect your privacy.

What Information Does Nuwber Collect?

Nuwber builds comprehensive personal profiles by pulling data from government records, voter registrations, property deeds, business filings, credit bureaus, and telecommunications companies. A typical Nuwber listing may include:

  • Full name and known aliases
  • Date of birth and age
  • Current and previous home addresses
  • Phone numbers (mobile and landline)
  • Email addresses
  • Names of relatives and associates
  • Social media profiles
  • Census and demographic data
  • Property ownership details
  • Neighborhood and neighbor information

For users who pay for premium access, Nuwber also exposes more sensitive data such as marriage and divorce records, debt and bankruptcy filings, criminal records, education history, employment information, and estimated income and financial data. This level of exposure creates real risks for identity theft, social engineering attacks, and personal safety.

Each Listing Requires a Separate Opt-Out

Nuwber identifies each listing by a unique URL. If you have multiple profiles on Nuwber (for example, one for each address you have lived at), you must submit a separate removal request for each listing. Be sure to search thoroughly and remove all of your records.

Step-by-Step: How to Opt Out of Nuwber

Follow these steps to remove your personal information from Nuwber:

Step 1: Search for Your Profile

Go to https://nuwber.com and enter your first name, last name, city, and state into the search bar. Click "Search" to view the results. Look through the results to identify your listing based on your age, location, and known relatives.

Step 2: View Your Listing Details

Click on "View Details" for the listing that matches your information. Copy the full URL of this page from your browser's address bar. You will need this URL for the removal form.

Step 3: Navigate to the Removal Page

Go to https://nuwber.com/removal/link. You can also find this page by scrolling to the bottom of any Nuwber page and clicking the "Remove My Info" link in the footer.

Step 4: Submit Your Listing URL

Paste the URL of your Nuwber profile into the provided field. In many cases, the URL will already be populated if you navigated from your listing page. Click the red "Opt Out" button to proceed.

Step 5: Enter Your Email Address

Provide a valid email address where Nuwber can send the removal confirmation link. Make sure to use an email you actively monitor.

Step 6: Confirm via Email

Check your email inbox for the confirmation message from Nuwber. Click the verification link in the email to finalize the removal of your listing. Without this step, your data will not be removed.

Step 7: Repeat for Additional Listings

Go back to Nuwber and search for yourself again. If you find additional listings, repeat the entire process for each one.

Processing Time

Nuwber typically processes removal requests within 48 hours of email verification. After this period, search for yourself on the site again to confirm your listing has been removed. If your profile still appears after 48 hours, try submitting the opt-out request again.

Important Notes and Gotchas

  • Data can reappear. Nuwber continuously collects new public records. If updated information about you enters their database, a new profile may be generated. Regular monitoring is essential.
  • URL-specific removal. Each opt-out request only removes the specific listing associated with the URL you submit. You must individually opt out of every profile you find.
  • Check your spam folder. The verification email from Nuwber sometimes gets filtered into spam or junk mail. If you do not receive it within a few minutes, check these folders before resubmitting.
  • No bulk removal option. Nuwber does not offer a way to remove all of your listings at once. Each one must be handled separately, which can be tedious if you have multiple records.
  • Third-party data sharing. Nuwber may share data with other brokers. Removing your information from Nuwber alone does not guarantee removal from every site that may have obtained your data through them.

When we find your data, we submit removal requests on your behalf and monitor to ensure the data stays removed. If your information reappears, we submit new requests immediately.
